Exactly 13 years ago, the Uluda\u011f Economy Summit (UEZ), which set out with the participation of 50 business people and 650 spectators in 2012, turned into the “largest meeting of the region” in the intervening time. It started to be known as the carefully watched and most admired business and economy organisation of Eurasia. It has developed over the years and has reached 110 high-level speakers and 2 thousand participants from Turkey and the world. UEZ held twice in Istanbul in hybrid format, spring and fall, to catch up with the rapidly changing agenda and dynamics of the pandemic period in 2021.<\/p>

Organised by Capital, Ekonomist and Start Up magazines, the summit was completely renovated in 2022 and again physically held in Sapanca on 6-9 October 2022 with more than 80 speakers and nearly 1,000 high-level participants. Former French President Fran\u00e7ois Hollande attended UEZ 2022 as a “special speaker”. In 2023, the summit held on April 27-30 under the main theme of “One World, A Common Future: Policies and Business Strategies to Shape Tomorrow for New Generations”.<\/p>

Former German President Christian Wulff, as well as Former Prime Minister of Italy Enrico Letta, Jo Johnson, who serves as the former Minister of State of the Cameron, May and Johnson Governments in the UK, attended as a special speaker for UEZ 2023, and shared their analysis in a special panel on \u201cChanging Global Order: Europe and Turkey’s New Roles\u201d.<\/p>

In 2024, it took place with the participation of a large number of respected domestic and foreign opinion leaders such as Mehmet \u015eim\u015fek\/ Minister of Treasury and Finance of Turkey, Fredrik Reinfeldt\/ Former Prime Minister of Sweden, Professor Yanis Varoufakis\/Former Minister of Finance of Greece, Anabel Diaz\/ Vice President of Uber, Daniel Doll Steinberg\/ Artificial Intelligence Expert and Entrepreneur, Janet Henry\/HSBC Chief Economist, Max Gillman\/Professor of Economic History at the University of Missouri. Starting from 2025, we are renewing the name of our summit to represent its brand development over time. From now on, our summit (UEZ) will continue as the “International Economy Summit”. Our 2025 theme has been determined as CHANGING GLOBAL FACTS AND THE FUTURE 5.0.<\/p>

Under this theme, we will discuss the following topics on April 17-20, 2025:<\/p>

Can artificial intelligence, blockchain, the impact of robotic technologies and the light of science create a future 5.0′ in every field from education to health, from industry to agriculture? Is it possible to reduce geopolitical shocks and tensions by ensuring a fair and inclusive energy transition? How can the world reach the goal of Future 5.0 and Economy 5.0?<\/p>
